Beaver before degreasing and whitening

Since you are looking into presentations and are outside the school board that I live in, I am less likely to do the presentation for you. However I have made up a presentation set of skulls that can be mailed to you. It will come with the skulls, lesson plans, description of facts and aspects of the skulls you that can show your students, and the google slide presentation.

My presentation includes:

The presentation first shows a video of the animals in their natural habitat so you can explain the niche in the wild that the animal holds. You can also describe what they look like and how they move throughout their ecosystem.

I then have the students try to guess what the animal is on the screen. They are sometimes unsuccessful with a few tries and at this time I switch to a high quality picture of the animal. This picture highlights all of the characteristics that the animal is known for.   For example, the Lynx has a picture showing it's solid blackened tipped tail, long 5 cm horned ears, and large paw for a snowshoe effect in the snow.

You can then present the skull to the students and show them the adaptations of the particular animal. I will describe how to do all of this in the package and can talk to you prior to the presentation to ensure that you are confident. This is an extremely engaging topic to present to students. In my experience, it is mostly the same questions from students and I will prepare you with those as well.

Please see the Skull Presentation Set/List to see the skulls that will be sent to you. If you want to get in touch with me to plan a presentation package, please click the Contact button at the top right of the screen and I would be happy to work out something with you.
